ISO 14001 Certification

Canon Latin America Inc. and more than 700 other Canon sites worldwide are certified to the ISO 14001 standard. This internationally recognized standard provides organizations with a framework for developing effective Environmental Management Systems (EMS). With EMS, Canon Latin America Inc. can analyze environmental aspects associated with the company's operating activities, products, and services, in order to establish objectives and targets that reduce their negative environmental impacts. Once developed, all Canon Americas EMS are audited by a third party to guarantee continual conformance to the standard. As a result, Canon's Environmental Management Systems are fully incorporated into all business operations. The company's commitment to the environment is stated in the Canon Americas Environmental Charter from which all of Canon Americas' Environmental Management Systems are based.
